UW Physics PATHS

In collaboration with Professor Miguel Morales, Audrey runs the UW Physics Program for Advanced Training in Hands-on Science (PATHS). This program offers a unique opportunity for motivated students from community colleges to gain hands-on experience in physics laboratories at the Department of Physics at the University of Washington, Seattle. It helps students envision themselves studying at a four-year institution, build support networks, and gain research experience they can use to further their careers.

Participating students engage in cutting-edge research projects, ranging from exploring the mysteries of the cosmos to unraveling the complexities of biological systems and delving into the quantum realm of information processing.

Bellevue Junior Cheer

Audrey is the head coach of the Bellevue Junior Cheer Team! She was a cheerleader for four years at Newport High School (go Knights!) and has been coaching this team since 2019. Audrey loves working with each and every cheerleader! It’s always fun to help them learn new skills and build their confidence!

This team is a community-based, volunteer-run organization. The goal is to make cheerleading accessible to all students across the Bellevue School District. The varsity cheer squad consists of 20+ kids ranging from 1st through 8th grade. The team cheers at fall football games and winter basketball games.

The Bellevue Junior Cheer Team works in partnership with Bellevue Junior Football, a local dance studio in Issaquah and the City of Bellevue. Thank you to the organizations, coaches, and volunteers that have made this team possible!

Issaquah Cheer Coach

Audrey is an Assistant Coach for the Issaquah High School Cheer Team. In collaboration with the other coaches, she actively engage with students to foster a positive, supportive, and team-oriented environment. Audrey works with the cheerleaders on stunts and routine choreography in preparation for the Washington State Cheer Competition.

Let’s go Eagles!

Intercollegiate Scavenger Hunt

As an Honors Community Ambassador for the University of Washington, Audrey had the wonderful opportunity to lead an intercollegiate scavenger hunt for honors students across Washington. The event was held at the beginning of January. Participating universities included the University of Washington, Washington State University, Eastern Washington University, Seattle Pacific University, Gonzaga, Northwest University, and Western Washington University.

This was not only a rewarding experience in terms of leadership training, it was also a way for her to connect with fellow honors students state-wide — an opportunity that is generally lacking due to large divides and boundaries between universities. This event was able to foster friendship and camaraderie between honors students and create an engaging event.
